Biography: Goku is the One of the last Saiyans in the universe, Goku is the most powerful fighter of all. Though many people say Brolly is the Legendary Super Saiyan, but I doubt it. I believe its Goku. He is the only one to reach all the true Saiyan forms(Mystic is not a true Saiyan form), and at most points in DBZGT is the most powerful being in the universe. He is the hero throughout all three series, and is the very first Z fighter to go Super Saiyan(Brolly preceded him). He has a wife named Chi-Chi, who is the Earth's most powerful female until her daughter-in-law Videl, and then Gohans and her daughter, Pan. He has two sons named Gohan and Goten, who both go Super Saiyan. He was originally sent to void Earth of life, but the crash caused him to forget his mission. He was trained by his adoptive grandfather, Gohan, Master Roshi, Korin, Kami, King Kai, and of course, his toughest master is himself. He constantly trains, and is usually the first to introduce a new Saiyan form. He trained his son Gohan to become the most powerful being in the universe at the time. He has a pure heart, and has a very happy-go-lucky personality. He's not terribly bright, sensitive, or anything that requires a fair amount of brain power. He has an insatiable appetite, and can eat just about his body weight in rice. But when it comes to fighting, he is a master. He never hesitates to die for others, as he saved everybodys life in the Cell Games by teleporting Cell to King Kais, dying to defeat Raditz, and giving his life to save Android 18s and Krillins life in GT. In all, Goku is the most important Z fighter.

Biography: One of the surviving Saiyans, Vegeta is a Saiyan prince. Frieza, only to become a slave to him, along with his bodyguard Nappa, and Gokus brother, Raditz, spared Vegeta. After Raditzs death, he and Nappa came to conquer Earth, but were defeated by Goku, Gohan and Krillin. Vegeta returned to Frieza alone, as he killed Nappa because he was weak. He was sent by Frieza to get the Dragonballs for him, but wanted them for himself to wish for immortality. On Namek, he becomes a Z fighter to get to the Dragonballs. He thinks that he is the legendary Super Saiyan. He was killed by Frieza, shortly before explaining to Goku why he was evil, crying for the first time. He is revived by Shenron, and looks for Goku for almost 2 years. Vegeta marries Bulma shortly after Future Trunks comes. He had a son in the Android saga, named Trunks, who is Future Trunks from another timeline(who became a Super Saiyan at seven-years-old). He trains on an asteroid, and snaps because Goku is always ahead of him, and finally goes Super Saiyan after years of training. Vegeta goes 2nd grade during his time in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, and challenges semi-perfect Cell, thinking he ascended. He allows Cell to perfect himself after severely beating him. Then the tables turn, and Vegeta is almost killed. When Future Trunks is killed, he snaps and attacks Cell head on. During the World Tournament saga, he allows himself to become Majin, and he ascends to the next level. He fights Goku, who also ascends. To stop Majin Buu and to protect his family, he uses his Final End attack(An attack which utilizes a huge explosion made by the attacker, but kills the attacker) for the first and final time. Lord Enma allows him life to protect the earth and his family. He fuses with Goku using the Potara earrings to become Vegito, the most powerful warrior in DBZ. Once inside Buu to rescue the Z fighters, he crushes his earring. Vegito never appears again. He helps Goku gather energy for his Chou Spirit Bomb, which kills Buu. At the end of DBZ, he has a daughter named Bra(snicker), who can make Vegeta do whatever he wants. In GT, he is possessed by Bebi, and goes Super Saiyan 3, and Golden Oozaru. When Bulma makes a machine that allows him to go Golden Oozaru, he goes Super Saiyan 4. During the Evil Shenron saga, he does the fusion dance with Goku to become SS4 Gogeta, who was originally the hero of movie 12. He and Goku, or Kakarot as he calls him, are fierce rivals. He always tries to outdo Goku, and prove that he is the strongest. For a long time he is evil, but when his family is in danger, he always comes through. He is full of Saiyan pride, and would rather die than give up or ask for help. He has very few friends, and is often lonely. Training is extremely important to him, as he never trains under anyone but himself. He trains severely, almost to the point of death. It took him 5 years worth of training to go Super Saiyan. It took him 7 to Ascend. After Goku leaves with Shenron, he finally becomes the strongest being in the universe, although it means little to him when he realizes he just wanted a rival. Gogeta is the fused form of he and Goku. Although Vegeta is extremely stubborn, obstinate, and an overall jerk, deep down, he has a good heart.

Biography: Gohan is the oldest son of Goku and Chi-Chi. At the beginning of DBZ, he shows tremendous power at the age of 4, becoming at the moment the most powerful fighter in the universe. After Gokus death, Piccolo took him to train in the wilderness for the arrival of the Saiyans. Piccolo is changed by Gohans innocence, and gives his life to protect him. He goes Oozaru against Vegeta, and saves his father. On Namek, he helps retrieve all the dragonballs with Krillin and Bulma. Gohan stalls Frieza long enough for S.S. Goku to return to the battle on Namek. He defeats Garlic Jr. in the Garlic Jr. saga. During the Cell saga, he also trains in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, where he goes Super Saiyan. Along with his father, he learns how to maintain that form. During the Cell Games, during Android 16s death, he becomes the first person ever to go Super Saiyan Two. He kills Cell during a Kamehameha face-off with help from his dead father. 7 years later, he now has a 6-year-old brother named Goten(who was apparently conceived before the Cell Games) who can go Super Saiyan, but cant fly. That does not last long. Trunks is now 7, and can also turn S.S. He starts helping people, but under a superhero guise called the Great Saiyaman, who wears stupid clothes, does stupid poses, but always saves the day. The cover does not last long. During the World Tournament, he is injured by Babidis henchmen. He soon learns how to use his Super Saiyan powers without transforming, called Mystic form. Contrary to popular thought, this is not more powerful than S.S.2 form. He simply had a power boost, and Mystic form is simply his S.S. powers without transforming. It is exactly as powerful. He starts pounding Majin Buu, but gets tricked, then absorbed. He dies when the earth blows up, but is revived like all the others. At the end of DBZ, he settles down as a scholar and marries Videl, and has a daughter named Pan, who is a major character in GT. He is also possessed by Bebi, but he is exorcised from his body. He does very little training or fighting after the Maijn Buu saga. Gohan was the cutest character until he became a teen, when Goten replaces that spot. He is socially handicapped, as he is a big nerd. As the Great Saiyaman, he is even nerdier. In early DBZ, he and Krillin are pretty much inseparable. Gohan used to idolize Piccolo, dressed like him, and fights like him. Masenko-Ha, Gohans second most powerful attack, was originally Piccolos attack. The most distinct thing about Gohan is that he has the most potential of all. If he trained as much as Goku, he would easily be the most powerful fighter of all. But since he is a scholar, he never realizes his potential. Gohan is my personal favorite character. By the end of DBZ, he is the second most powerful fighter, second only to Goku. His power comes from his anger. The angrier he gets, the more powerful he is. Gohan is actually very tolerant, so it takes a lot for Gohan to snap. Instances are Raditz hurting his father, Frieza almost killing S.S. Goku, Garlic Jr. hurting Piccolo, Dr. Willow hurting everybody, remembering his friends deaths(resulting in his first Super Saiyan transformation), the death of Android 16(his first S.S.2 transformation), Bojack hurting the Z fighters, and several other instances. In GT, he is the third most powerful fighter. All in all, Gohan is a powerful addition to the Z fighters.

Biography: Goten is the younger of the two sons Goku and Chi-Chi had. Goten is shown in the final season of DBZ, as he was born a few months after the Cell Saga. Gotens special ability is the natural ability to transform into a Super Saiyan. In the dub, he has been able to transform for as long as he can remember. When Gohan has to train for the World Tournament, he turns Super Saiyan to be a challenge to him. Needless to say, Gohan is very surprised. During the Majin Buu saga, he and Young Trunks master the fusion dance, and become Gotenks; a warrior who can go Super Saiyan 3 like Goku. Goten is the weakest Super Saiyan, but his ability to fuse makes him very important in DBZ. He and Trunks are the best of friends, and always get in trouble. In DBGT, he cuts his hair like Gohans, and remains on Earth. From then on, he does little. Goten bears heavy resemblance to Goku, as he has the same hair, face, and build as he did at the same age. He is basically the cutest character, until he grows up, and Pan replaces him. Without Goten, the world would not be.

Biography: Future Trunks is a warrior from 20 years later. His parents are Vegeta and Bulma. When Cyber Frieza and King Kold came to Earth, he stopped them by surprising everyone with a Super Saiyan transformation, although Goku wouldve defeated them in his timeline. He gives valuable insight, which gives the Z fighters an advantage over Dr. Gero and the androids. He also gives Goku a medicine which will cure a heart disease he got from the Yardrats. He later comes to help kill the Androids, but stays to train in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. He becomes stronger than Vegeta, and is the first to go Ultimate Super Saiyan. He is usually quiet, shy, bashful, and very different than regular Trunks. He grew up in a world terrorized by the Androids, and all the Z fighters die except he and Gohan. Eventually, Gohan dies as well, and causes him to transform for the first time. A few years later, he fights the Androids, and loses. Then he goes to the past as aforementioned, and fights Cell as well. During the Cell Games, he is killed by an energy blast, but is revived by the dragon. He goes back to the future, kills the Androids, and as he leaves to go back to tell the Z warriors, kills Cell. He makes several appearances in the movies(movie 9 is his final appearance), but is never seen again after season 4.

Biography: Trunks is the son of Vegeta and Bulma. Trunks is very different than Future Trunks, as he is loud, rude, obnoxious, and mischievious. Trunks is a good person at heart, but a bit of a brat. Trunks is not much stronger than Goten, but also has a natural ability to go Super Saiyan. He is nothing compared to the other fighters, but like Goten, fusion makes him a powerful addition to the Z fighters. He constantly moons people, shoots the bird, or even pisses on them. I kid you not. He wishes that he has a brother, but only has a sister named Bra years later. Vegeta is very hard on him, but if you mess with his son, youre going down. Vegeta is also jealous because he was the one who struggled the hardest to go Super Saiyan, and Trunks can do it so without strain, but he does love his son, and would(and he has) give his life for him. In GT, Trunks takes on a more major and mature role. He also helps look for the Black Star Dragonballs. Even though he is a bit annoying, Trunks plays an important role in the world of DBZGT.

Biography: Gogeta is the fusion of Goku and Vegeta using the Metamorau fusion, or fusion dance. His build, hair, and personality resembles Goku, but his face is that of Vegetas. Very little is known about Gogeta, as he is only shown twice (once in movie 12 and at the end of GT). Gogeta is never shown as a non-Super Saiyan. Gogetas time is usually short when shown, and he usually kills enemies very quickly. Gogeta usually says little, but always the phrase I am going to destroy you. Gogeta is very cool, and sadly a small part of DBZ, but an important part at the end of DBGT.
